  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

KETCH ROSSi

any chance to join the party?

Norbert,

since Michael is my Host in Munich, He will be the one that will need to decide if we can have any one else joining us, as I have no idea what awaits me, and the plans Michael's has as far as shooting locations an such... ;)

You guys should come to Bamberg :) They shoot more and more movies here: e.g. The Three Musketeers in Real 3D! ;)

Well Felix, I don't think this time around, but since we'll be based off Milan, we are not far... So an other trip could be forthcoming... Especially if we organize something nice to shot at, like I don't know... Hot German Blondies... he he.

no problem at all. Have fun in Munich!
Maybe you come to Innsbruck. Maybe a stopover on the way home :-)

Have fun Ketch! I know you'll take good care of our Epic M8. For those of us who love to shoot, its always great to get out on the road and get some good images!

Pam sends her hugs :)

So Ketch, now that your Master Primes will be going up for sale ... will it be Leica C's for you? I know you're not crazy about Cooke -- and your RPP's can last until you find a replacement for the MP's.

Would love to see you rocking some Leica's my friend, you were meant for each other all along :)

He he...

Yeah the Master Primes are great glass, ZEISS never made crap... but Arri will not be in my arsenal no more, and even so technically speaking Master Primes are not made by them, as Michael here in Munich points out,
they still do have the exclusive of them and brand them with their name, so they must go... No enemy's products will have a place in my company.

Leica Summilux-C are no doubt on my wish list, have been since they were first announced as you can remember, and if it was not for an error of miscommunication, they would be already here in place of the MP's... ;)

MUNICH, GERMANY...

MUNICH, GERMANY...

Okay,

back in Milan, Italy, form Munich, Germany, were I had a fantastic time with Michael Kromschroeder, CEO of Mediabit, as well as a new M owner, He was a great Host, even so He literally tucked me for a
bike ride around Munich's parks, well, about 35km, of bike ride that is... Oh my legs, still fill them ha ha, but it was so great, I can't believe how beautiful, and green,
and how much water there in in Munich, I was very tempted to stay ha ha.

Some pics... The Video will come shortly, as soon as Michael goes thru the over 900GB of footage we captured, well, most of it actually He captured, especially all the stuff form BMW Global
head quarters and the Oktoberfest, but I think I did tuck a few clips of some passing girls and some water fall... I think... ;)

Setting up in the park by the waterfall... Believe it or not extremely near Downtown Munich!!

Michael setting up Audio...

A little slider...
\

At an other park, w/a passing girl... Our assistants were great in getting girls to pose ha ha, thanks guys!!

Oh BTW... What's in the Bag???

Thanks a bunch to the guys of BAND PRO Munich, for their very kind loaner... So much appreciated... ;)

Thanks to Michael for getting this done, a BTS video will follow of the Munich shoot, most of the footage shot here is Michael's great work, with Jib and PS/T Dolly,
only few shots of the girls (of course) and couple of others are mine, all the rest... all Michael... ;)

A blast in really Gorgeous Munich of Bavaria, and I sure am to be back there soon, too beautiful... ;)

So I wonder what am I going to get next as my personal Glass... ;)

Ketch,

The extra fps gave a lot of cool options for the editor to use on your your World Tour video. Music tied in very nicely as well.

Cheers,

He he he... nice Ketch, very nice. Your Canon mount will keep you very happy till you get your very own most awesome set of Leicas!

For those looking at that side by side, keep in mind the Leica is slightly closer to the lens... they are even SMALLER! :)

Thanks guys, again, mostly Michael's work, He is a great shooter... ;)

Yeah I do pack the crap out of stuff in this bags, then I pay the price... carrying the weight on my shoulder he he.

The comparison shot of the Master Prime with the Leica SC Prime, is actually as close as it can get, the length is just about the same, were the MP's are a tiny tiny bit taller,
but it is the Girth how wide the MP is vs. the Leica, that really makes the difference, and makes the Leica the absolute best glass in the world for 3D, of course the weight is also a huge difference,
price is similar range, but what I am mostly interest in is performance and Sharpness as well as artifact control, which Leica's seems to bring some surprises in their favor,
were the MP's which were the best in glass in the world for many years, NOW ARE NO MORE... ;)

This is my 500th post so I would like to have it mean something.

In the short time I have been interacting with the RED community I have come in contact with a wide range of people. Although I have never met the man, none have touched my heart like Ketch Rossi. He is a gentle human who brings beauty and joy to everything he does. For those who have had the honor to work, live and play with Ketch, I envy you. I hope to make it over to Italy to shoot something, anything with Ketch and hopefully be blessed by his life force. The world needs more givers like Ketch Rossi.

We know you are having health issues now Ketch - be strong, so many love you.
