  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

KETCH ROSSi

He he, working on it Sergio, as hard and harder then anything I ever done in my entire life, well, actually I have been working on it for my entire life... ;)

Having a Spanish/Portuguese father, and having lived in Europe almost a decade, I really feel sad to see how things are going in the European world. The words "innovation", "revolution", "ideas", " creativity" seemed lost in this current "crisis" mood. The only ones still able to push Europe's, say, creativity and technology is Germany- but somehow seems like they keep it there, they protect it, and that makes sense for them. How quickly people forget the great cinema revolution that happened in France and Italy, the creativity of the Spanish cinema of Almodovar and even early 20'ies Portuguese comedy... Europe was where everything was happening in the creative scene... I feel that with this project, Ketch, you can really shake up the European cinema scene and put it back on the map. I heard Singapore was trying to do something similar. But I'm sure that you can "wake up" Italy and Europe with your project ! Full support!!

I've never had the pleasure of sampling Ketch's cuisine, but for some reason this Chow Ciao video
on July 4th Italian BBQ ribs and drink made me think of Ketch.

I loved Jacopo's line "hopefuly after one of these (drinks), the girl will be able to understand our broken English"...

Buon Appetito!

he he, I do love to cook... And those that have stayed at my place know it well... ;)

Of course now in Rome cooking has taken all an other level of fun... ;)

Where are you getting your funding from? Looks like it cost more than the LHC

The financiers involved in this Megaproject belong to a special Global Financing Platform Group, some of which are also Fortune 500's wealthiest CEO's.

A life long dream that hopefully will soon see the light of day and present the Global Filmmaking Industry with unprecedented opportunities.

HERE an other look at what is cooking on a different set of burners... ;)

is this a floating city haha?

Well, actually...

Its infrastructure is designed to be both, a floating and an under ground transportation concept for a new era Eco friendly idea.

From the outer perimeter of the conglomerate of all facilities there will be underground galleries that travel to and form all facilities and structures, connecting all points to also all the ElectroTowerTrain posts, in doing so making all Motorized Vehicle transportation go either under ground or above ground level, to leave intact all ground level areas for Parks, Recreation areas, and natural resources, like Water open sky Reservoirs etc.

If only I could say all that is really going on in this designs... But I can't, too many copyright issues and inventions that still need registry... But as I'll finally make the announcement, revealing what I'm dreaming up for this, then and only then you'll all get a list a grasp of what is to be of KETCH ROSSi TREE of LiFE, and how will it make such a global impact in the Filmmaking Industry, as well as in the Renewable Energy and sustainability.

Please tell me someone is hot on the heels of this man with a videocamera documenting his journey. Succeed of fail, he will be a case study for various branches of science. If I were a betting man I would bet my bottom euro on the latter, but then again, I recently read up on idea/construction of the Crystal Palace...

Ketch, I wish you all the luck in the world.

Jack

Ketch, a little advice if you get the chance.

Shoulder Mount VS Steady Cam.

We are in discussion which to purchase next. This is for feature work. I don't see the shoulder mount being all that valuable, we also are having trouble finding a 19mm rail shoulder mount. So we'd have build a 15mm lightweight setup from scratch as our tripod setup is all 19mm.

Steady Cam will cost more, but I push for this because of versatility. So much can be done with a steady cam setup, smoother motion, work from a vehicle etc...

Any thoughts?

You do dream big bro, that's what I love about you.

Ha ha, Thanks Jack, I believe in Dreams, always have, always will, I just happen to have a little bigger dreams then most... ;)

There is Way More to see...;)

He he, I do Will, and thanks for the Love!! But Brett is right, there is more to see... LOTS MORE!!

Where do you plan to build this? Looks amazing.

I'm trying to get it done in Italy, but there are other locations been considered, such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, New Zealand, Canada, and Northern Europe, however as of this week, we also have a strong possibility in China... ;)

At the end we might need to build more then one... ;)

Will,

sorry to say but you'll need both, as neither can do the job for both and do it well, there are situations were the Steady can not be replaced by any other, and others were the shoulder mount is just the best tool to use.

For a movie, you'll need to have both, if you are uncertain, I would, unless you have it perfectly scripted and storyboarded with camera moves, and know exactly what you need.

Glad you like it Christina,

funny thing is that you are so close in your thinking, and when I'll release the info via the Announcement you'll understand what I meant here.

There is so much that even on the announcement is left without saying for more then one reason, yet it will give a clear grasp of what the idea is.
