  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

KETCH ROSSi & Joseph Hutson's American EPIC Tour Begins...

Does anybody have connections in San Francisco? We'd absolutely love to shoot some aerials of the city...the Golden Gate Bridge, especially.

Joseph, while I may not be able to offer a place to stay or much in terms of equipment, I can help out with shooting locations in and around the bay area. I would be happy to donate any services I can give as a PA or DIT. Though I don't have any experience or recommendations on aerial tours, I can ask some local DP's if they've used any company specifically. Twin Peaks is a MUST, you can get a panorama from the golden gate down to south san francisco, and on a clear day see Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda (trying to find a Pano I made out of 187 stitched photos). Alcatraz would be a cool place to check out, especially seing that HDRx in action :) Great views of downtown San Francisco from Treasure Island (between San Francisco and Oakland/Berkeley, 2 min drive from downtown) Tons of "iconic SF" locations around the city; California and Market Street (trolley car turn around with a stereotypical SF hill in the background), Mission Dolores, Coit Tower and Lombard Street, the Ferry Building, Haight Street, Japantown, the Presidio, the Cliff House...the list goes on. Just north of the bay is Sausalito and the Marin Headlands both have some great views of San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge in the foreground as well. I'll keep you posted on any info I can find out about aerial tours and shooting.

Hey Ketch and Joe,

I'm in the bay area as well and can volunteer for help either that 4/1-4/3 weekend you're here, or I've also got time during NAB week in Vegas from 4/8-4/16.

Also, did you find someone for the aerial work in bay area? If not I have friend who might know someone, have no idea what going rate is or if they'd be willing to deal, but I can ask.

Thanks Wil and Randall.

Right now we're working with Albert Frates on getting some aerials scheduled, along with some other shoots. However, nothing is set in stone right now...

Thanks Joe, sent a private e-mail to Ketch.

Hey Ketch and Joseph, what are you guys doing on Tuesday? If you guys done mind I'd love to come down to Miami with you guys and help out. I can probably get some good BTS footage too.

Thanks guys for all the support,

schedules have been made, and the cities chosen, however this is for me a trip of work and pleasure, so I could at the last minute change location
and times of stay depending on many variables, so not sure at al of the true schedule, but will update here each step of our way as we are leaving
form City to City, and hope to see as many of you and get a chance to shoot with some of you.

Guys. French Quarter. C'mon. Can't not shoot the French Quarter. I'll buy you beignets.

Buy them some Blonds and I'm sure you'll get their interest. :thumbup1:
