  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

He he, Thanks Vincent, I have a low start on this do to too many variables I didn't count in, bout trust me when I say that what is coming will more then make up for it and then SOME, he he.

Eric you are right, and as I said before I should not have posted, but in pressure of posting something I did, with a quick pass in PS5.1,
even so only I had access to part of frozen for some reason in most of the functions, and can't reinstall as al the discs are at the Storage till I move in to my new place here in Florence.

Thankfully a fellow Reduser graded and sent it to me via PM, again, even so not the real colors, still made it justice and give it depth, so I love it and I am thankful of the work done... ;)


BTW, Even the ungraded image, and just the simple light curve, did still give a good view, just that you can never judge form a super high compressed image... ;)

Totally agree Ketch. Usually some quick slight curve will give it a huge boost immediately.. I try not to look at the grading in these tests but rather at the potential and sharpness and look of these lenses with this adapter..

Looks super promising to people like me with a smaller studio.
Keep going.. :)

Thanks for seen it Kirk,

and even so I do want to show off the best footage possible, it is also important to note and see, that some of this test shoots, do not only represent the work of my self and the gear,
but also the work of what some one without a Studio and just owning an Epic and a set of Canon glass can do, BEAUTIDUL images with just a slight touch of a curve, Redgamma2, Redcolor2, and BOOM!!

Also as I test and use the Canon Glass on this insanely Fantastic Canon E. Mount that RED built, I need to insure I don't retouch the sharpening of the images, but stay as true to them as possible, and
show off the "l" series Canon glass, so that prospected users out there, see what each particular lens can offer, before they go and spend that obey to buy all the different lenses.

So I hope I do have the time needed to test as much of this glass on the Epic and RED E. Canon mount, so to provide you, my fantastic fellow REDUSER with a true inside on this gear,
in the hope that I do in of of a good job to inspire and help you guys make the move in to EPIC and the Canon mount as an alternative to those of you that other wise would not be able to afford this ABSURDLY GREAT CAMERA!!

You know you are welcome anytime Ketch :-) I can only see two problems, i don't have a barn at my disposal or a decent RED head model - lord knows i've been trying to find one - especially one that will wear a see through dress (cough's) Let me know when you are over here on your global tour, i will arrange something awesome :-)

Well I thank you Andrew, and London will se me and EPIC soon, but... Okay hard to believe year I can understand not been able to find a Red head, but not been able to have her ware a See thru dress??
I can get girls to ware anything!! In fact most of the time the problem with my girls is that they would rater ware NOTHING he he...

Seriously though. You can come to Malta any time. I'll take you around some incredible sites. To shoot Malta with the highest resolution any one has ever shot her.. You would take some beautiful pictures here Ketch.

Ketch, Do you have the Canon 2x extender you could also try with a lens or two?

NO I don't have it David, I have tried each one out there, and no company has yet been able to make a decent one that allows the images to remain at the standard of quality I demand, especially of filming with EPIC at 5k,
or even 2k, and while the 1.4x in its III generation has continue to get better and gives incredible results, the 2x even i its II generation still does not provide me with a satisfactory image, so I don't use it, however I have not tested this newer III generation, so I might give it yet an other try and see what is up, when I do I'll be sure to post it here, but as I am shooting all day the RED Head Barn scene today and leaving for Costa Smeralda Sardinia early in the morning I'll have no way of ordering one till I come back in September, at which point I'll be nuts traveling thru Florence, Rome, Milan and Venice to then immediately jump on a plane to Japan, after the 10th, so I think I'll most likely test it in Japan after the both, on Kaku's organized shoot there to give this Canon mount its ultimate testing grounds, in the house of birth of its glass... ;)
 
Okay the Sexy EPIC HDRx Canon Barn test is done... WOW, an other Super Hot Summer day in Mugello Florence... ;)


The Frame grab, was shot using a Canon EF 14-70mm f/4L lens, using HDRx set @+3, very fast pass thru RCX with Simple Blend Mode 0.159, P4 curve preset, grabbed the frame in Tiff,
sent to PS5.1 to compress for web to jpeg, and uploaded here, do as you please, what I need to say is I wish I had more time, but were super rushed as we are taking the boat to Sardinia of the next week,
form which of course lots of Bikini shots are coming, next Sexy HDRx shots will be done in increments, once I can get the footage Edited, I'll post the video... ;)

The Canon Mount on Epic keeps ROCKING, can't wait to get to Costa Smeralda Sardinia and shoot some tremendous Beaches and some pretty girls in Bikini (Topless??)... ;)
