  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

They have not got any yet.... They are getting a shipment 'next week.'

They can't tell me

- How far down the list I am :)
- How many they have coming....

... However, they did confirm that the PL versions will be coming first then Canon.

And I was advised to call back in a couple of weeks for an update if I need one...

erk :/
 
So no canon mounts to europe next week or how should I read it?
 
Hej Roy, yes I ordered a Scarlet on the 3 nov. Im not in Stockholm thoe but Jönköping.

I agree, I really thought we would get better attention as this...
But as soon as we speak about RED, Europe and Scarlet we hear ... couple of weeks, delays, not arrived yet, don't know how many cameras we will have, don't how much we have to deliver, need to reinforce the Team in order to manage everything...

Maybe next time it would be great to announce correct shipping date, I mean a date for US and another one for Europe ... because here, I'm reading a lot of of people in this thread who are sad about that long delay...
 
Don't think its much of a delay, just RED Europe is middle person and there is probably a lot of cams heading that way in bulk...so naturally lots of paper work and things for RED Europe to get sorted out...

That being said, if you ordered direct RED USA and shipped accordingly from RED USA, you would obviously have to handle VAT etc. yourself but upside would be that you get your cam early...

Trade offs for taking one option over another but it just means less hassel for European buyers...
 
Thing is - we are looking forward to getting the Scarlet but wanting some communication isn't unreasonable.

I don't mind if it will take 3 weeks - just tell us this :)

do you really think we are getting scarlets before xmas????
i sincerely doubt it....i dunno how many cameras they have (i think around 1000pl andcanon in total) but for sure they're serving americans first then they'll ship some bodies to europe
i think they received more orders than expected....
i'm relaxed i know i'll be owner in 2012 not before i'm number 799
hope one of you will have it before

because red passes all the european orders to red europe if you are located in europe
you have to have a bank account in the states and a delivery address there too
so let's spend bigger money :)

I just noticed that there is the detail now in the open orders and the price went up from 9580 to 9645£.

I checked my Open Orders And it doesn't Show up any pricechange - no extra "detail-button" visible...

Still at 9580£ - ordered 3rd Nov.

???
 
Yes you are right for the price ... just notice that also. I love when prices go up by surprise :)
 
I wouldn't call it a surprise:"Total may not reflect final order total as sales tax and shipping and handling are estimated"
