  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Congratulations. That FlyCam is absolute crap though, save your money dude.

Also consider

1. RAID storage (faster, safer) - as you're going to need > 2GB/Min depending on your compression ratio.

2. A system to backup from the RAID and take to location like safety deposit box (files don't exist if they aren't stored in two separate places)

3. What software are you editing with?

4. Lanyard for the REDmote (be sad to drop it) http://www.madlyfins.com/product.php?id_product=18

5. Red capacitive stylus (no sense smudging the LCD with your fingers) http://www.amazon.com/BoxWave-Capac...&keywords=BoxWave+Capacitive+Stylus+for+Apple

6. SSD for your computer to speed up cache files

Les, thanks for the tip on the redmote lanyard, I just ordered one. I figured since I've got one in the mail, I might as well have a lanyard for it. I was wondering the other day if I was just going to put the redmote in my pocket or what, lol.

My Lanyard arrives tomorrow by UPS - so, I hope it's all that I've hoped for.

If not, I guess I can attach the end to a BlackRapid gigantic strap or something (which certainly seems overkill).

The neat thing is that the REDmote will dock with the connector in place.

Cost really. I mean i probbly could have left out a few things, but my next "equipment update" will include more SSD's and probs some bricks :)

To make some super cheap, good quality, wireless lapels. I have a few 2.4ghz Lossless audio modules lying about, so i thought id put them to use :)
