  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just got my shipping confirmation!

this must be the same feeling guys go through when their wife is about to give birth.

I wouldn't know but I think this is as close as we can get...emotions wise.

I still can't believe it, gotta admit I'm going a little cooo-cooo

I just put my downpayment in yesterday. Hoping to get a shipping notice in around 2 months. Heh.

Hope people start posting finished projects from their Scarlet shoots by then to get me nice and jealous. Nothing helps my creativity like some healthy competition. I love a good, civil-yet-talented, rivalry. Only makes everyone involved better at what they do.

as much as I'd like to say yes... no it is nothing close. Had two kids born, only scarlet ordered (lots of other prosumer cameras) However getting a camera is like all my childhood christmas rolled into one.

No way close, was headed to bed exhausted at 1am as my inlaws just flew in from Europe. As I was shutting down wife comes in and says water broke. Waiting for a camera is not as exhausting. I am excited to film the welcoming of our second. 4k birth! (wife would kill me!, and i'd pass out)
 
I'm on day three of processing since my order and payment were confirmed. I feel like Zuckerberg at the end of Social Network hitting refresh over and over to see if the girl accepted his friend request. Hoping for delivery next week.

Just got another email from my rep. Looks like I am SCARLET-X #59 :) I can't wait to get some pics and footage up!
 
nice, congratulations. Though only number #59? I really hope camera numbers aren't a rough idea of how many cameras have been sent out this far, or im in for a long wait..

If you are wondering when Red is actually going to post footage, I don't think they are planning on it. As said many times, Scarlet-X footage will look pretty much identical to Epic footage minus the high frame rates.

Anyways... more on topic:
I didn't realize you could ask your rep what number Scarlet you will have! That's awesome. Did you have to ask for this information or that pretty standard?
 
I found those videos. I was hoping people would start posting .r3d files of live action situations, extreme lighting, different lenses etc...

Still awaiting a Ti canon mount that I originally ordered on August 29th, so if thats anything to go by those of you who ordered a Ti canon scarlet package could be in for the long haul.

Hope Im wrong!
