  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just did something that's possibly irresponsible and place and order ...

... and at the moment there's no way I can justify spending this money. F*ck !!
Feel wierd right now

You make good movies - you need good tools

You did well J. You won't regret it. Make sure you get at least 16K though in a loan. Make sure to start planning a project to use it. Don't wait for it to arrive. Plan everything, start getting support and arrange everything. Get everything ready , then, when it arrives, give yourself 1 or 2 weeks to get confortable with the camera, the exposure sweet spots, operational gripes, then after it add the additional stuff you feel will be needed after your initial tryout, like additional rails and mounting options. Then... get into the ring. Make it happen. And never look back! :)

thanks guys. No loans, I don't do loans unless its a mortgage so this is out of pocket for my personal cam. I better land a huge fat fuckoff sized gig in the next 2 months or I might have to cancel. But hey at least i'm in the queue. Have I thrown my hands in the air yet and said F*ck already?

Whatever you bought, I bet you have plenty of "backorder time" to save up before they need to ship it.

Well, i bough my suzuki swift, my HVX through loans and paid them without sweat. The Scarlet will be the same. It will pay for itself very quickly, don't sweat it.

Congrats buddy!
No pain no Gain, hard work and have fun.
Cheers from Brazil

Best to buy before the 20% price hike next year. Between the way backorders are probably going to be and the price hike you will probably be able to resell it for a good portion of what you paid next year.

Thanks once again for the vote of confidence, I wish I felt as confident as all of you !

Remember after you get this kind of rig all thats left is your skill .......scares the hell out of me is why i love it......go for it

Not sure about a 20% price hike on Scarlet. There is a price hike on many items come January 1, but nothing was mentioned at the time about Scarlet, so my thinking is the price is set for now.

In January, the price drops a little ($9700?) but the mount and SSD drive are removed. If you add them back in, it's like the price has gone up by 20%.

I'm right beside you mate. I'm only one year into my working life and I've just invested in something that costs around 60% of my yearly wage.

But I believe in myself to use this to make some amazing art. I'll turn it into profit within 6 months, then the fun begins. Trust in your vision.

It's just money. Remember to live life.
