  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

June Update

It has been awfully quiet lately. A little bit of a bummer since I think a lot of us expected June to kick off with a bang.

Calm before the storm, hopefully!

Yeah for sure. I'd imagine though that if they tooled all production lines for RAVEN in May...then they had to re-tool them back to each type of camera they are producing, do some QC, and then fire up the lines for production. I was thinking about this (a lot in May) and was guessing 2-3 weeks into June we'd see some fresh allocations coming out, and hopefully at a slightly better clip than before...but this is all 100% speculation.

My rep said they'd need a few days to switch the lines over. I'm hoping that they're cranking along at a good clip now, since demand for cinematograhers and operators is on the uptick...

During the first week of June. I was hoping he had some idea about when the Scarlet-Ws would start going out, but that was the best information he had. I haven't checked in with him since, he might have better info now that they're hopefully in production again.
 
I'm sure there have been some Scarlet-W's allocated this month, we just haven't heard about any hehe.
 
As Jarred mentioned, things are looking super busy in Irvine. Just dropped off my Dragon for the WMg upgrade to RED UK in typical English weather :). They estimated 3 to 6 weeks time for getting a spot on the production line. I managed to postpone some projects and I am patiently hoping to resume work with a nice shiny WMg by the end of July :)

Why don't we just help each other out and when someone gets allocated for SW and posts with a timestamp and when you have been allocated so we can sort of tell where we at! We are all waiting in the same game as each other everyone's a little restless understandable. I deposited on December 10 as a SW brain only, as I thought I would get it pretty quick. Nearly 8 months down the line I'm still here waiting so yeah I understand everyone's qualms.

Isn't there are already a thread for that? Or is it just Raven and 8k? If that is the case, you can always start a SW thread. :)

I thought there was one at one point but I'm sure all the switching mucked it up pretty fast. Might make sense to start it up again....though I think all of us waiting on S-W's don't want to face the reality of just how long it might take haha.

Well, as someone that put a deposit in 35 mins after announcement I can tell you we're not there yet. Of course I'll post on here immediately once I see the email though.
 
I was excited I got in on Day 1. Then I looked at my timestamp, and it's Dec 10 11:58pm EST. XD.....:(
