This is such a beautifull story. From the humble Scarlet beginnings to the EPIC end (a new beginning really).
It is true that the RED familiy gave you the opportunity, but you achieved this all alone with your dedication to RED. This is your success and you should enjoy it.
Congrats Joseph!

Waiting for a Scarlet and ending up with the best...
Being patient can be rewarded, that is what can happen to all of us.
Enjoy, have lots of fun and if you can, share your work with us...

Congrats Joseph! To a happy and productive future!

You just couldn't wait for that Scarlet, hm? :)

Wow. There's just so much to say.

Most important of all is a huge THANK YOU to:...

KETCH, I'd have to say that your generosity is kinda like Jarred's (which I'm sure you can easily relate to). You were a catalyst in me ultimately buying an EPIC-M. You were instrumental in bringing me to the Los Angeles area where I not only have begun to strengthen the relationships I already had, but also the many more new people I have begun working with as well. This has brought the assurance that getting an EPIC was actually doable.

Thanks for the kind words Joseph, my generosity towards you, was the result of your dedication to my work and how you made me shine during the receiving of our M8 with Steve Gibby, and our Epic American Tour.

I immediately seen what type of person you are, and what ever little I did for you, was well deserved, and I did it form the heart, and today pleases me so much to see you come full circle and now with your own EPIC M... ;)

Now everything you do form here end, is up to you, entirely!!

Best of luck!!

People may wonder "How did he get an EPIC?". One thing is for sure. I didn't do it alone. Yes, true, I've been doing video production for 5 years. Yes, true, I got my first job when I was 12 (5 days a week) and held that job til I was almost 20. However, no matter the amount of effort you put towards something, you will only be as strong as the people you are surrounded by.
Wow, you kind of nailed it Joseph. Work ethic, who you surround yourself with, and people skills are pretty much the recipe for success. Probably just a matter of time before we see your name up on the big screen. Kudos to you for "getting it" so early in life. Takes some people half a lifetime to finally get it. :-)

Congratulations, Joseph! You really are an inspiration to many an aspiring cinephotographer here. God bless you and your endeavors on this next chapter of your journey.

Congratulations Joseph!

If you really want something, I always found a way to get it. When I was 18, I bought my first brand new Porsche on my own. Now if Red was available back then many centuries ago, who knows where I would be today.

Can't wait to see some footage that you take. Awesome, just awesome Joseph.

Youth and inexperience with be outdone by old age and treachery.

haha, funny.

The end result is... however you you managed to get a camera, you got the camera. It takes the same determination and resourcefulness needed to make films. The world is yours!

Good luck to you!

First Sample Footage from my EPIC-M and a Prototype of the DSMC Ti Canon Mount…more to come.

A slight curve added. Nothing more. Processed in RC-X Professional. REDColor2/REDLogFilm

First off: congratulations Joseph. Am very much looking forward to seeing what you will do with your beloved #1226. Hard work does pay off. And kindness. And sharing. And being helpful.

In your sample video, did you pull focus yourself, did someone else pull it, or did you let the Epic do the job?
