We are close to day 60 on "The ******* *********" I don't how many builds we've been through but I can say this, Jim is a man of his word and when we started on this journey he pledged me his support and he and his team have more than delivered, thank you. Every EPIC user owes me, I have put these things through the mill and RED has responded to all of issues, so when you pick up your EPIC I hope you realize it has been through a $*** million dollar trial by fire. Are my "M" bodies perfect, no but they will be in short time thanks to the shit I have been putting them through. Every time I hold that little sucker in my hand I am blown away! Thanks Jim, Jarred, Ted, Nate, Brooks, Michael, Steve, and Zack, you guys are the new generation, I had a vice president from Technicolor down to visit and I showed what we were doing, and it was obvious that the future is a couple of carts with MacPro's and red rocket cards and some talented guys to run them. We are on the home stretch and still looking good!

John, thanks for all the shit and fire you put the M through. Lim

John ... you are the best. We love our EPICs - and I sincerely appreciate you taking the risk and making the commitment.
Bravo.

Hey John, when is the shooting concluding and when do you think we will see the trailer?

Keep busy and keep shooting, John!

Graeme

I've said it before... "The ******* *********" will be to Epic what "Che" was to the Red One. As a future Epic owner, Thanks for getting out front.

John, thanks for stepping up and taking this camera into battle. You are a stand-up guy and you'll have the respect and gratitude of this entire community to show for it. I can't wait to see the results on the big screen.

All of us future Epic owners are grateful for all you have put the cameras through, in order to make our experience even better.THANKS

Glad to hear you are so pleased with EPIC John, so are we, and like you in a very small part, we fill the privilege of having an EPIC M,
but also fill that we are doing something that every one else that will get their EPIOC X will have to thanks us for our work put in to this early
Pre-production cameras, RED TEAM, has surpassed our wildest desires in a camera, and we could never THANK them in off, other then with
the IMAGES we take and show... ;)

The best thing about John and his crew putting these cameras through their paces is that the EPIC program is not the only beneficiary of all this testing. Scarlet will benefit just as much if not more so because of the amount of Scarlets in the wild will far surpass the amount of Epics.

And such a wise and noble deed it is, John. Our gratitude will be manifest in many forms: mine shall be in the shape of an extra large bucket of popcorn.

It is somewhat fascinating to be part of this beta testing on Spiderman. I have to say I love it when Jim and Jarred ask John or myself if we will test a new build. And I thank Columbia and the Spidy producers for letting us forge new territory and use this amazing new tool.

Sometimes we feel like Vilmos must have when Panavision gave him a Panaflex to use for the first time on "Sugarland Express"

Even as we ask Jim for new features he asks how are the images.

And quite honestly they are beautiful...

Peter

BTW we have used the Epic in both 2D and 3D rigs on 3 motion control shots (yes MoCo) this week and it all worked flawlessly

Thanks to John and all the thousands of owners and users who have all worked on getting RED cameras through their early days and still with future development. Everyone needs a big thanks from all us early R1 adopters, the current R1 owners and the new EPIC owners and users. Everyone has been contributing to this process for a long time in some way so having more and more people on board is a great thing and deserves the appreciation and thanks as many people do. There are 100's if not 1000's involved with EPIC so a thanks to all those people that are involved in getting these cameras ready to roll...!
