Yes Jim, Jarred & Ted walk us threw the Coolest Place on Earth's LAB.

Today the Santa Fe Workshop was walked threw the actual lab where they test and do their MAGIC.
With rows and rows of engineers and scientist from the best of the best all in 1 large sound stage. Stationed at their computers, scopes, testing devices, testing gear and working with so much data and information the place was pumping in air conditioning to keep it a nice temperature.

I can clearly see why this shit is hard to do.
I can clearly see why target dates are missed.
I completely understand why and I feel great that its gonna be ready when its ready.

Stage 6
It was rows and rows of large boards, computer chips, sensors, partial cameras, what looked like cameras with plexy glass sides, cooling devices ect.
It was like a scene out of a Movie where they were building a Robot HUMAN or something like that.

We got to see first hand that YES RED is making it here.
Kinda like Made in America.
BAD ASS seriously.
They have at least 6 locations some in other parts of the country working with likely over 400 engineers.
In the RED hollywood stage 6 location it was about 6 or 7 rows with about 90 engineers working at their stations.

This is serious stuff.

For a moment in time we were in the room where technology was being Created or maybe assembled.

You can see why some of the most successful writers, directors, creators want to visit RED.
They are all driven to visit im sure.

Everybody's eyes were wide open, everyone had a smile on their face it was just Awe inspiring.

One thing they showed us was how you backfocus an Epic.
The Epic backfocus is a worm screw yes its EASY very EASY to change the backfocus and you can be safe that it will not unscrew its self.
Thanks for showing us Jarred.

There was about 27 people from the workshop that got to go, if you have the chance to talk to one of them hear it form them first hand.
Its better than better its there its being worked on and its whats gonna change everything.

Wow..pretty much like we all imagined it to be..what no pics..hehehe :)

Lucky Luis.

Pictures?
Think of Intel labs just not in white coats more like blue coats and its not a clean room its a sound stage, with a clean room area.
Rows and rows of cubicles with computers, cables, microchips , boards, devices, clamps, monitors, micro-video scopes, bit rate analyzers, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, video and frequency test equipment, you get the idea.

Here are some pictures but not from this room.
Think test equipment like this.

Thanks today was a LUCKY day.

Luis

Now I understand why Offhollywood's Epic M has a 5 digit serial number. They expect to sell a LOT of cameras.
