Jam Sync

Would someone be so kind as to address the issue of Jam Synching with RED? Is it preferable to use TC from external generator or directly from sound recorder? Is there a recommended equipment vendor or list? Thanks so much.

the only issue that I know of is that if you turn off the camera, the TC has a chance of drifting. the use a lockit box helps prevent that. other than that, no issues. jam the camera with TC from ur denecke, sound recorder, or anything else with a built in ambient or something similar. they'll all do a great job. typically we jam the slate and camera to the sound recorder, and check on TC every 2-3 hours or so to make sure nothing drifted.

​hi, I'm actually trying to jam my TS-C to my red one and am having trouble. I've never had issues before but I don't know if it had anything g to do with the latest build. I don't have a lockit box either. Any help would be greatly appreciated
