I hate to admit that I love watching Jackass. Guilty pleasure I guess, or maybe I just haven't grown up yet...

I hate 3d more than any one i think it takes away from story and cinematography but luckily jackass doesn't have too much of those things.. sooo just go enjoy plus i would like to see the phantom in action in 3d

why not? there hasn't yet been a 3-d release that hasn't had the 2-d version simultaneously playing in theaters too...unless you can't bring yourself to see the 2-d version either.
Actually, there were no 2D showings of Piranha 3D (at least in my area). Which sucked because the 3D in that movie was so terrible that it was distracting. I didn't even get to enjoy the people getting their faces eaten off.

Just wear an eye patch

Actually not the first, there have been several. The dance film Step-up 3D was a recent release with some Phantom 3D and I personally know of at least half a dozen others that shot Phantom 3D before the Jackass shoot (although I'm not sure if all have been released yet). Some elements in Avatar used Phantoms in a Pace 3D rig.

But Jackass 3D is certainly ... unique. ;-)

When the star of the movie has to have a catheter twice a day for three years so the scar tissue from a stunt won't seal shut his urinary tract... that's film making! Jackass Rocks!

Great!!!

I thought that TSN could make the third consecutive week box office but didn't happened and was beaten by Jackass 3D another movie shot on RED1 (in 3D).

RED rules box office these days...

Not bad at all.

Forgot to mention that all slow-mo parts were shot also on Phantom HD...

Just saw it, totally enjoyed it seems that 3D continues to improve.
I didnt hate the 3D , im not saying it was all perfect.
Im saying i enjoyed it in 3D very much and feel it will only improve and grow.

I nominate the Phantom HD as the official Jackass Camera. The frame ramping was awesome. And the 3D was nauseating. I loved it. It nearly made me hurl- just glad we haven't developed smell-o-vision. Oh, and I never want a job working on any Jackass production.

$20mm budget and a $50mm opening weekend. I give it 3.5 out of 4 stars, I laughed my ass off.

Jeff,

you can say what ever you want but R1-MX was the first official Jackass 3D camera, Phantom HD as the second...

saw it in 3d... enjoyed the movie even though my gag reflex was on constant alert.

3D was interesting, but Im still not a fan..

If they can come up with a way to shoot 3d with ONE camera, and not a big ass weird rig.. without costly and timely post processing, then ill be interested.
