Okay,

needed to get this off my chest, final results of latest Sport tests are in, and its now official...

ABSOLUTELY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD I DIVE AT ANY DEPTHS.... :(

So, I guess I did a good thing in gifting my position in line to our First Deep Epic, shipped out last week to our friends in DUBAI,
sad part is that we have one more coming, and that I had promised our friends at GATES a in detail review of the Housing... Sorry guys.

So I guess its the end of Diving for me, I did try my very best, just my health really isn't there for me, so I'll stay shooting above water... ;)

And looks like an early DEEP EPIC Kit might come up for sale pretty quick...

Ketch, there is always the bathtub. :) I know it's not the same, but just a fallback if you really get a hankerging. But continue to protect your health, we need you on this forum!

That's a real bummer. I know I've experienced some depth pressurization issues in my sinuses since 2 major maxilla jaw surgeries, which I hope to acclimate myself. I love the ocean too much to give it up completely!

Sorry Ketch, that's too bad. I'm beginning to see (literally) a whole new world underwater. I did my first open water diving today down to 19 meters.

I never heard the good news though that must have taken place in the last 5 months to have revived the dream since your last thread about this condition here: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?61876-a-SHUTTERED-DREAM-(-But-there-are-others-)

Hopefully all is well with you in Rome!

Perhaps you were destined for Space instead? : )

You can still snorkel, but not below six feet based on what you've said.
Keep on rockin' and don't let this set you back from all the other stuff.

Hey, Ketch, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it is something you loved. But... You've got a lot of ways to make beautiful left. Let this go and get on with it. My brother-in-law went into hospice today. Life is short. Don't waste any time at all looking back at what you can't do. Just go work hard, play loud, love well.

Peace.

Sorry to hear this Ketch. Don't give up, buddy. Heard of ROVs? Now, that's fun...you can get them down to 1,000m or deeper while staying dry...

...and the good thing is that 3Deep housing has no depth limit :wink5:

Ah. No worries Ketch. We'll get you up to space and that's going to be way more fun :)

Dont get me started on 3d again mate... !!!!!!

:)))

"Darkest hour" ... Theres another FILM you didnt benefit being shot in 3d.

Oooops.. There I go again.

Hey from a diving perspective, Do you need to sell what others can do for you.
Call Simon Christedies from Big Boy Films...
This guys makes the coolest underwater 3d camera systems, he made one for James Camerons underwater stuff, carbon fibre loooove!
He may look after it for you if you cannot sell it. Or come do your underwater jobs for you..

Ya never know your luck in the big city :)))) He is a cave diving nutter!!!!

Thanks for the support guys, you all are real sports in here, and I always come here and post,
even some time stuff I should not, but you are my family, if I don't tell you whom do I tell???

The biggest blow, is that since I was first denied Diving, I was given an hope and since back from
Dubai I really dedicated my self hard to it, and NO GO, my body has simply deteriorated do ot the HUGE amount of meds,
and the other issues suffered just don't allow for Diving, and this is final, so yeah, some SNORKEL will have to content me... ;)

Again thanks again guys, really appreciate the kind words... ;)

Hey Ketch, I feel sorry for you.. Im a huge diver! love it in fact, I have all the gear on my boat. If you ever come to AUS one day and you know that Im floating aroun the islands, make sure you come for a snorkle at least up at the Great barrier Reef with me.

One thing I did do while in Dubai was dive the largest fish tank in the world !!! that might be a simple dive you can do! Its only 12 metres.. no deeper than a good snorkel depth.

Thanks Mark,

I'll definitely most absolutely will visit you for a Snorkel on the Australian barrier reef, right after my visit to NZ.

Yeah the idea was the same for us to do some shooting in those HUGE thanks, but trow couple of girls dressed in very long colorful silks (fully covered of course in respect to the local religion).

Now all of it is a goner since I will not really have any real interest in participating in under water shoots I am not diving in, but
possibly after the last bit of disappointment is forgotten I might find it in my self to still Direct some UW shoots, just not any time soon... ;)

I guess the good news is... More time to the other projects... ;)

Really sorry to hear that my friend. I was looking forward to diving with you and the Gates housing. You know we used that 600 pound beast on underworld Awakening.

Stay smiling

Peter

Then of course there is still Rome, Italy a nice little Drama us and BOOM, we are rocking Italy together!!

I am done despairing at what my health forbids me to do... I decided to only concentrate on what I CAN DO... And I can still do a LOT... ;)
