  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It's about time for an update

I know there have been other threads asking for this earlier, but it's been a few weeks now since there has been new news. Yes we'll let RED keep working on the project, giving an update won't slow them down that much. There has been a precedent set that even if there wasn't new news there was talk about immediate goals, some kind of a bone thrown our way. We got these new photos of spike but have seen or heard nothing since. Has spike been creating images? Has the team moved forward with any of the RED accessories? What are some goals that you've set for the near future?

I think they went Bankrupt and moved to Serbia

Patience grasshopper

I would rather not hear any progress and wait to be surprised come NAB April

I bet the RED guys are seriously getting a little annoyed with the amount of "we want updates now" threads - Sad thing is, as we approach D-Day, it can only get worse

Then again, I am a complete hypocrite in wanting to hear the latest news/gossip/low down on what's going on with their Frankenstein ..

:)

Why would they get annoyed? It should be extremely flattering that they have such rabid fans for a 1st time release! As an indie filmmaker I love it when people pester me for updates, it shows they give a sh1t about what I'm doing.

The worst thing is for no one to ask you for updates...

Shawn is right (again). We do like that you care and are a bit nervous for info. We are deep in the bowels of development. 100's of things to do everyday. This is a VERY complicated project for any team, let alone a small one. I expect that you won't hear any significant news for a few weeks. We don't think it is productive to give daily details. Give us some room right now. But don't stop the interest. Buy some stickers.

Jim

Just bought three stickers.

tic... tac... tic... tac... tic... tac...

Any news?

I really hope that we find out what these hundreds of things are someday... I'd love to know what really goes into all of this. It's not just badass trucks and awesome product photos.

enough out of you... heh heh heh

Does the RED team by any chance produce the TV show Lost?

- What?! A smoke monster?!
- What?! A CMOS sensor called Mysterium?

- Who the hell are "The Others," and why are they on the island?!
- Who the hell are the RED team, and what do they dream about at night?!

- How does "4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42" save the world?!
- How does REDCODE compress 4k footage to 27mb/s without ANY loss in resolution?!

ANSWERS!!! WE NEED ANSWERS!!! lol :D

Heh heh. Well, here's to two long months of Off-topic and lens-test threads.

I think I'll buy a sticker once per week.
