I feel like the thread tittles in this whole forum are in need of a good overhaul. So many new cameras have nowhere to be discussed...

I think it's really confusing to people that don't own a RED camera, or haven't used red in the past.
For example, all the DSMC2 camera's really operate and modularly interconnect in the same way, a scarlet-weapon is about the same as carbon weapon.
But now I see people sometimes post a scarlet-weapon in the scarlet area.
Another example is a epic dsmc1 is totally different then a dsmc2 helium epic, in fact I feel that the scarlet-mx and epic-mx have way more similarity for new users then to any dsmc2.
As all the MX go into legacy mode, I think it's also confusing to people when something "breaks", since it has nothing to do with fully supported dsmc2.
I'd also almost lean to theirs two groups of DSMC2: dragon and helium. Also obviously hydrogen needs to be a separate sub group.

As PatrickFaith pointed out, as a new to RED system, i am finding the new line of camera topics are mixed into the legacy systems . If one will consolidate , i would expect the Forum hierarchy to be like DSMC 2 -> Dragon | Weapon -> Weapon6K/Scarlet W/Raven | Weapon W / Weapon 8K and all the sub thread follows related to the parent topic .

RED Digital Cinema:

-NAB
-RED Discussion
-Crucial Ordinance

The DSMC system:
-RED One
-Scarlet
-Epic
-Epic-M owners

(New Title) The DSMC2 system:
-Raven
-Scarlet-W
-Epic-W
-Weapon
-Custom (Xenomorph, Bayhem)

(New Title) The Sensor
-M
-MX
-Dragon
-Helium

And then place REDLink Developers under accessories
And the rest seems good as it is.

I like Anthony's structure, but I don't think the sensors need to be broken out, and just have one section for any kind of sensor talk. Since there would already have sections for the cameras the sensors are housed in anyway.

Google is still the best search engine because they index the site.

In terms of breaking things down, I will wait for a larger consensus from other Mods and the Fire Chief. I am not sure how much time, effort, etc, the reorganisation of the forum would take, and how it would affect/break existing links, etc. So while it might seem as simple as organising folders on your desktop, there is MUCH that would need to be done under the hood.

The suggestions are welcome though.

Or just let people move slowly and create new threads and topics . There are always repetitive discussions and questions , at least all new once will be at the right place. Admins can take their own time to move the thread related to DSMC2 cameras as an example .
