Is Red ever going to offer 3k 50fps?

[Ruff]

Feeling very left out in PAL land.

24 / 48 just does not work here...

It's been months. Pretty much every customer outside of the USA wants this feature. It has been discussed here frequently.

Is it going to happen?

Thanks,

One year and nothing for PAL...Lame.

if you keep a shutter of 1/100 and do 48frames you should be good in regards to flicker. (motion blur should be quite similar to 180 degrees at 50 fps.)

Sidney, I think they're looking for 3k HDRx at a usable PAL frame rate.

Since HDRx requires x2 your intended frame rate, PAL shooters need 50fps to deliver 25fps content.

its just an extra 2 fps ... Has anyone contacted Red about this?

[Ruff]

50 can be 25 very easily. So for post it is perfect.

Nothing to do with HDR. Just need to make the Scarlet a post friendly option to compete with the other cameras.

[Ruff]

I sent a feature request and suggestion to my Rep when the camera was first released.

I think that Red is an American company, and they are very American focused. They are not involved day to day PAL production and don't appreciate just how important it is to us.

Perhaps in next major firmware update. So keeping my thumbs on december.

Really would like to use 3k HDRx on my Scarlet at 25fps!
