I've got a gimbal rig that needs to have the plug on the Lemo A turned 90 degrees to keep it from hitting one of the arms. Possible to do myself? Below is a picture of the issue.

I'd say use a straight cable or the front/top pogo, just 'cause i'm a scaredy-pants and wouldn't want to mess up wiring and fry some/every thing.

Problem being I'm using super flexible LCD cables and I only have right angles. Second, I've got the battery on the side and it interferes with the pogo connector with the Lemo A on top. Checkmate.

Correct. I opened mine up as well and it would be very difficult to change the orientation. You'd have to cut or desolder a ribbon cable and work out some new way to attach the leads.

Which is really unfortunate, because the orientation it comes in definitely seems like the wrong one, if it needs to be a fixed orientation.

Thanks, Felix.....I won't be venturing in there! Maybe I can have the Lemo connector on the cable changed.

Funny I just a few days ago I emailed Red about changing direction of lemo adapter B. They said it was locked in to current direction and could not be changed, so I assume same goes for A.

Its a shame really, when you pay so much for an adapter, that looks so awesomely designed, you think they would have implemented this feature. Perhaps in the future we can get all lemo connections, on camera, and on modules, to have ability to change direction ?

Its kinda like how they have those tiny m3 screw holes exist on red weapon cameras. I think M3 makes ZERO sense and should be replaced with 1/4-20 all around. Why did they decided to go M3? No space was saved, and as of now, in order to put a side handle on left side, I have to use an adapter A with its M3 screws to get a 1/4-20 for a swat rail.

I know there is a DSMC3 wish list thread out there somewhere (which I have posted a few thoughts to), but if I were RED I would post an official wish list on this forum and listen to what is customers have to say about future design.

Edit- Also no hurt feelings or disrespect to RED. You guys design, hands down, the best cameras on the market, but its kind of a wonderful thing to, none the less, always have room for improvement.
