Is it bad to Transcode 5kHD with a normal Rocket

My last rocket just died so I've just bought a battle tested one.

We are shooting 4kHD but some 2nd unit is 5kHD.

Does anyone have any info if this is wise as the Rocket says it's built for 4k?

I'm just trying to work out what killed it...

Yes our card has chewed what I would estimate to at least more than a thousand mag loads of 5k. The old rocket i is, I think, (never used the feature much) only able to play out 4k through it's dual SDI ports. But it renders 5k files with no issues.

Great thanks Bjprn the last thing i want is another dead rocket.

RED are pretty good at solving dead Rocket issues tho...By having new ones in stock to sell you haha
