  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

(iPhone) footage of working EPIC at IBC 2010

Methinks the right info is that there is no set ship date until Epic is fully baked (but perhaps there's a more official answer).

Hi Guys,

Was a fun and interesting IBC, lots of interest in seeing the Epic in person. I'm off to Cinec now in Germany for a couple of days to show it off there.

couldn't agree more with this comment from a post a few pages ago:
It really is incredible how small the Epic body is. I don't think many people have realized the importance of this.

it is stunning to see how small the Epic is in comparison to most of the other HD/2k cameras on the Market.

And I did not mention any start dates for Tattoo or stage 2, that has not been determined yet - just that Steven Soderbergh is prepping now to go out on the first movie to be shot with Epics, and we will learn much from that, just like the first time around when he took the RED ONEs onto the Che movies, and we will have some info after that.

Thanks for all the excitement while I was at IBC showing off the gear...

so i managed to ran into Ted form RED by accident at cinec 2010 :) and i did hold this nice thing in my hands...man that was a great feeling ;) if u ask me it was a nice weight.. not to light ot too heavy ... and a realy nice lens too... seems really useful for more a run & gun usage (more as the RED ONE) ... sadly he didn't want to trade in my 550D though ... so i went and bought a ALEXA ... kidding :)

really looking forward to see the EPIC at a Rental House nearby in the feature ... it will be a nice tool for us to work with!
