  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks for posting the footage though ... even if it wasn't anything new there's something about seeing it out in the wild that is still pretty exciting!

Those are two contradictory statements it seems, since Stage two IS Epic.

Many of us have to do at least a little financial planning, so if it is true that Ted is saying stage two will start in a few weeks, it would be nice to hear something here rather than second hand overheard at IBC.

Absolutely, especially with such sick lenses as these! (where are the samples though??)

Yet all of this, put together with 5k and 120fps, will be eclipsed by HDR!!!

Insanity, just flipping crazy.

You are right...now that you mention it I start to doubt myself about the stage 2 prediction, I am sure about the late this year, early next year statement.

He sure did mention something would happen in a few weeks, i won't speculate any further because i am not entirely sure.

Maybe someone else who has attended IBC today can give a more clear answer.
 
Marien, thanks for all the time putting this together. It was great to see. Question - this may have been covered in another thread but, what is that cable looped to the front of the left handle? I love the new cable arrangement for the LCD. Much neater. Thanks Red.

Hi Mike, i think it's an optical illusion, the cable is just going from the lcd to the body.

Agreed. This type of information can easily be misconstrued. An official RECON statement would mitigate any confusion.

..will also have the MP's and the Optimo 24-290 to keep company to the RPP's and RPZ's, the Epic-X's in Italy will be well dressed he he.

Yes Roberto, already have a 5 Month rental request in NY, by one of our very own Redusers, but this will only happen when we are not shooting, which with 7 Movies slated back to Back, will leave little time, but during Post, we will rent All Lenses out with or with out cameras.

However this will be at Rates in EURO Dollars, and will not be able to offer 3 Day rental, but will only do 5 DAY Rentals.

Wrong info.. you either heard that wrong or Ted misspoke.. i am betting you just heard wrong :)

so did he hear too late or too early? I know that Jarred has stated earlier that the RED team will no longer be listing dates until it is 100% ready since things are always subject to change, but would I be wrong to assume that you know if Epic and Scarlet will be shipping before 2011? I really hope fixed Scarlet will be shipping by late Jan 2011!! Can't wait to get it even if that date is too early.
