  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Introducing the OConnor CFF-1

Whats the front end of the ARRI Master zoom?

EDIT: Found it 180mm :http://www.arricsc.com/lenses/masterzoom_spex.htm

That means you don't need to take this follow focus off to slip the lens past it. (not that you would actually need to based on this lenses design) WOW

Very impressive -It almost looks thin enough to mount the Red Ones top rails - great for those super low dolly shots so our knuckles wont hit the ground :-) .. perhaps not, but it does open a few new options. I will be at NAB to check it out, no doubt

Mitch, one of the early photos had the armiture looking pretty glossy. Is this thing made of plastic?

No, it's metal. As I said in the video, that unit was a prototype and the finish of the final units will differ slightly. After Jim Elias did his brilliant engineering design then some others at OConnor worked with him to "OConnor-style" sexy it up and I must say that the end result is quite handsome.

I would expect it to be off of their already reduced price, not MSRP.

$3230 would be an incredibly good deal for this unit.
