I love all these accessories great job. It's nice to see a company only deliver top notch well thought out gear at affordable prices that would be welcomed on any set. Keep em coming!

We plan to...stay tuned for more killer stuff from OConnor!

Eric, I really like the looks of this MB. Just so you know, you might get one line of the VO changed on the video. At about 30 seconds in, it says, "can accommodate lenses up to 18mm in diameter." Might want to change it to, "18mm in focal length."

Yes...we know; but that's production. We have a new video coming- hopefully with an Epic!

It looks like we have the first units going out in two weeks.

I'm looking forward to it!

If you guys can get a tattoo Epic to fly an OConnor mattebox, I would very much like to see that.

Cool

Jay

The next video is probably going to be for our new smaller form factor follow focus; which, with a CFF-1 knob has a 25 percent less gear transmission ratio as the CFF-1 and is close to what focus pullers are use to using on cine lenses- but much more than still lenses. The form factor of the Epic makes it a great option. I spoke briefly with Ted at Creatasphere and he seemed open to lending us something Epic to feature with our accessories…we’ll have to wait and see.

BTW-

Our good friend Mitch@Abel Cine Tech tested the O-Box with the RED 17-50 lens and we clear...no problem.

Yeah I took my 17-50 in there and tested with Mitch, both the Obox and the MMB1 are in the clear.

Well then you are the man...thanks!

I owe you some schwag...we have some cool hats for your crew!

Oh- and I guess I should mention with the HUGE 150mm rear opening of the O-Box we also can fit the Pansonic 3D-A1 on center.

With an MMB-1 the physical lens size will fit BUT it's off center which will cause problems...just sayin'

I also hear that flair and ND control are necessary for proper 3D images.

We can help with that!

Hey Eric, is this available in stores yet? Doesn't look like it's quite for sale yet. I was planning on getting an MMB-1 from Abel next week but seems like a more versatile solution.

Also, I probably speak for others as well on this ... and I know you have the O-Grips already, but it would be awesome for you guys to get into the handheld rig market as well. There are some good high-end manufacturers but I think you guys would be tops, and I know you guys would produce some amazing shoulder mount and handheld gear.

I'm sure you've noticed how that market has exploded recently, especially with DSLRs needing so much more support -- and of course with the Epic and Scarlet essentially having similar form factor as DSLRs, you would get a lot of customers from future Red users.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm stating the obvious for you ... just want to affirm what you guys are already probably working on behind the scenes.

Thanks!

Anthony

As Mitch pointed out we’re working really hard to get the first O-Boxes to Abel next week. They are on their website and you can call them up to place orders immediately.

We are all over the handheld stuff…check out this video from the Creatasphere NYC show a few weeks back:

http://www.productionhub.com/video/view.aspx?item=6743

I have been getting a lot of questions lately about compatibility, i.e. does this work with that camera. It’s all about making accessory solutions that are future proof… and camera agnostic. That’s what we’re striving for.

We've just put our order in in the UK!

Hope we're not that far behind.

The reseller didn't have any details about step-down rings etc to fit 110mm RPPs. Anything available at launch?

I believe we will have the rings available at launch.
