Ok, so The PL mount sounds great but a rehousing could also be for the purpose of increasing the focus throw right?
Why stop at the mount? Is it very hard to include the gearing in a bigger housing? A little bigger size wouldn't be much of an issue and people would pay quite a bit for such a lens. Maybe also space out the rings a bit while you are at it.
Tek,This is more like a re-engineering job then a rehousing.
Stuart is putting a lot of resources and effort into this lens.
I can't wait.

^ Cool, then I do hope he makes the pull longer
Really? If at all possible, I would love a small increase on top of that, but if you've made it 200% already I suspect there may be mechanical limitations. Right?
This is a very politcal question.
I think I'll reserve judgment until Stuart delivers a final product.
Even then, I'm sure his work will speak for itself.
All I will say is that I consider the input of the REDUSER community quite valuable as the members are not only knowledgeable and diverse, but they are the future of the film industry. It would be silly to overlook the input and requests of such a community.
Nice going. I know what it entails to do what you have done to this lens. It's no cakewalk.
Hi Stuart,
Can you confirm ff35 coverage?
This looks great Stuart! Can't wait to see it in the wild. I talked it up to the Koerner people today so maybe you can catch Micheal's ear at NAB and get one in the NW.
It will cover 6K Full Frame Still 35mm
Stuart
Price will be $10,500, stated a few times now.
I have the original Nikon mount version of this lens, and I have to say all the hype about it is true. It's quite simply one of the sharpest, aberration free lenses I've ever used.
Here is a Flickr gallery* from my first day with it on a D700:
