  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Introducing Epic-W 8K

I can't seem to find this answer, so if anyone knows, let me know. The recording format says: Full frame on all the resolutions. Does it mean, it will not punch into sensor anymore when you go down on the resolution? That is huge. Also, when you record 4K or 2K proress, are they going to be the full sensor viewing angle? Or does 2k get punched in?

Think about it like this, ITS EASY, whatever field of view you see in your r3d setting(whether you are recording r3d or not) that's what you will see in the prores. Weapon dragon works the same way.

FCP supports Helium up to 6K today.

8K will come when FCP get's its next big update ;)

I might have missed it, but PP good to go 8k Helium? If not, any word on good workflows?

Also, picked up my Epic-W today from Omega Broadcast in Austin. Such a big day for me. Thanks Jarred, Brent, and team. My buddy took some pics here, skip around, I also have the new side handle attached. Love this setup.

Jarred,

In my first few minutes with Epic-W ive noticed you can't get to 6.5k. Did you say in the update thread 6.5k FF 75fps? I might be mistaken.

Andrew have you tried customizing the resolution menu? You should be able to add the .5 resolutions from there.

so is there anyone that has been back ordered, I have not been able to keep up, but I should have mine in a couple days
