  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Introducing Epic-W 8K

As am I. She probably has an Inbox full of emails.
Waukee! I'm originally from Iowa. Went to University of Iowa, lived in Des Moines/Marshalltown for a few years after that.

Anyway, I spoke with Heather around 11:05 PST, she said they were waiting for the items to come up on the store and to email her to queue up... Did you talk to her or just send an email? What time?

Ooof... haha, gave her another call, felt like I was nagging her. She answered and said the same thing, that she's working down through her email list and that she will call me once she has the purchase order open and ready. Bummer that some guys are jumping straight into the order! *breathe* patience...

Picking mine up right now. I HIGHLY recommend InnoCinema as a great dealer to work with in the Atlanta area. They have more inventory of Epic-Ws that can still be allocated to you. Ask for Justin Goff.

I talked to her at 11:04am. She said just email her (sounds like you did) and she'll sort through them later. As you can imagine they are getting some calls.
They are just going to flip the Scarlet W deposit (at least for me) over to an Epic W and will call later with details of what to do next. The timestamp on my SW order will revert over to the Epic W order....

And me with my rep Hunter also.
Same here with Hunter. Talked with him and he said his phone is ringing off the hook so it makes it hard for him to get to the e-mails and process them. Hope the phone stops ringing long enough for him to get to the e-mails.

Way to go! Congrats on that! Can't wait to see what the mighty Epic-W is capable of :)

I am waiting for tomorrow to try and get an estimate when my Weapon Helium upgrade becomes available :)

Can I ask for some advice before I jump onto an upgrade?
I shoot mostly commercial advertising stuff but not the $$$ TV budgets.
I deliver all files at the end of a job to a production company who than move jobs to post.
Most producers tell me stuff like "no 6K please can we just do 4K" they simply don't want to deal
with excessive file sizes for HD delivery.

Do I see this right, if I care only about 4 and 5K, the Scarlet-W has a larger sensor (at 4 and 5K)

If I have a "this would be nice in slow motion" situation (it happens even if I heard "no slow motion needed" in planning)
on the Scarlet-W I drop from 5 to 4K which is a 125% zoom (via the cinephotography tool 1,49/1,19)

The same client demand on the Epic-W would mean a 200% Zoom?

Any options to use the full or almost full size of the sensor to get 4 or 5K in RAW?

thanks
