I just took a trip to 'play it again sports' for some serious weight...
Bear in mind the top 10-15# definitely = performance target (aka 'keep weight in mind if macro-performance critical')
Set it up in the worse case scenario: full vertical
first 10# weight: motor happy as a clam
second 10# weight: motor starts to complain but chugs along
third 5# weight: motor noticeably unhappy but continues to climb:emote_22_yikes:
fourth 5# weight: motor sounds totally over-taxed but pulls on!
ut:
So... Quick empirical evidence says Keep it to 20# OR UNDER for peace of mind and so you're not replacing the motor every few months!
If you keep the rail below the cam and level you should be safe to go A BIT over 20# but I'd highly advise to be smart and hold it as close to the 20# mark as possible...
Edit: 20# under-slung appears happy & smooth.
