Intellytech Litecloth-LC-160 group buy

Hi filmmakers!**

I’m excited to announce this group buy for an amazing LED System, the Litecloth-LC-160. I have had the opportunity to work with this light and I can tell you it’s everything I hoped it would be. Most importantly it’s an excellent soft and color accurate light source that I use primarily as my Key for high profile ENG shoots and promos.

This light retails for $999.99. For this group Buy we will purchase them at only $699.30 when we hit 30 Units. This is 30% off and only for us. This group buy will last 30 days then it’s over. You will not see this price again. Shipping is free within the United States & Canada a shipping fee will be applied to Europe & Australia. Anyone interested in buying one this is the link to the group buy purchasing page https://www.intellytechusa.com/products/litecloth-lc-160-group-buy which is connected to the Intellytech website.

I've worked alongside Paul on a few shoots with these units now.
While I haven't dissected these and given them the full once over on my own, I can say they've been reliable, and very flexible for us.

We've used them on promotional shoots for the studios, generally shooting known talent, which makes sharing frame grabs a bit of a sensitive issue unfortunately.

I haven't seen any unusual color bias. At 3200K they look very close to a tungsten unit. Skin tones looked very natural based on what I saw on my Odyssey 7Q+.

Just Purchased

Just Purchased

Just purchased one for group buy. Total is up to 8 now. Great deal! May get another one at a later date.

Question about the controller, which isn't included with the GB as far as I can tell.

If you have multiple units how do you assign the light to the controller?

Is is possible for one controller to control multiple lights?

Thanks.

Hi friends, posting this for Paul Helling since he doesn't have posting privileges yet.

Also, Paul's answer to Phil's question

Hey Redusers,

This group buy is 30% funded and there are 22 days left to get in on this. I still can’t post myself but I’m running this on DVXuser.com as well if you want to join the discussion. Or you can ask questions on the Facebook page.

If you are ready to grab one of these you can see details and purchase here:

Enjoy, Paul

Phil,
The controller will control up to I believe 999 separate lights. Each ballast can be assigned the same or different channel, then you will need to have a map of your lights. You can change the channel on your controller to control each light separately or if all or some of your ballast are the same you can control those lights in groups. I hope this helps.

Best, Paul

Considering buying two....hesitant though if they stack up to the wescott flex in terms of color I'm in.

My account is active and I can post! If anyone has questions please feel free to fire away!

I can’t comment on a comparison of the Westcots color vs the LC-160’s but I’ve been using these on a fashion job for the past two weeks every day with mixed lighting, shooting on the Alexa Mini and have been very impressed with the results.

Hi Paul - can you elaborate on the differences between this and the FalconEyes led lights (aside from the foldability)? They seem to use a similar controller. Thanks!

This question has come up before in DVXuser.com. According to Intellytech, the only component the LC-160 shares with the FalconEyes is the casing for the ballast. Because the color range is vastly different (the LC-160 upper end is 10,000K vs 56,00K) the internal electronics are exclusive to the LC-160. From what I understand the build quality and materials of the Intellytech system is of a higher quality. The LED’s in the LC-160 (which are also not shared) are coated to blend each individual bulb with the next which minimizes that multi shadow effect that many LED panels have. Recently I taped the bare mat to the ceiling of a kitchen set to simulate the natural recessed lights and the usefulness of this feature was very evident. I hope this helps.

It helps - thank you!

Placed my order for one!

I have one of these and I can say their versatility is fantastic. Nice large wrap around soft source. Lots of power. Great color. Just wish I had gotten it for this price. Worth every penny...

We have 12 days left and only need 4 more units sold before this is an official go!

Kind of weird that they took our money before the group buy was closed.
