  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Indie Horror Feature screen grabs (LOW RES)

very nice - can see all the potential for super color grade!
BTW did you frame from Storyboards, or discover framing on set? just curious - I like the frames

Thanks Mike.

Everything was discovered on set. Usually i would plan shots with the direcor way in advance. The director instructed me not to for this film, so we walked onto location with the actors and winged our way through the scenes :) It ended up being very creative on the spot and quite liberating.

Kind regards

Justus

Love it, Awesome , and congrats for your grate jop :)

Just watched, and it is very impressive.

Justus, your work is FANTASTIC, top notch!

This thread deserves more attention.

:)

Haha, thanks Martin. But its an old thread :)

Doesn't mean it's not good - or deserving of attention :)

I still like those very early rough grades... but the trailer is great work.

Maybe I can get some R3D files for people to play with seeing that a lot of the commentary has been around the grading of the film...

Yes yes, please post a few R3Ds. :)

The grading (various types) is part of it - but also the framing, lighting and overall composition is the clincher, I normally prefer anamorphic cinematography, but I really like this material, great work always shines through :)

Thanks Andy

I agree on anamorphic and I did try for it (as i almost always do..) on this film but sadly was not an option for many reasons.

Thankfully I am back on Ana's next week...
