Some screen grabs of an indie that I just completed (ungraded and very low res so please excuse the terrible compression)

You're at it again!

Love the combo of Dragon and the Ana Xtals :)

Looks great.

WOWZA !!! Nice work

Thanks for sharing the screen-grabs.

I like how your stuff is always about what's in front of the camera as much as how you capture it. It's a more stylized (yet in some ways more honest) approach, but I think it works to create something the viewer can more easily engage with. Makes me wonder if the acting, editing, screenplay and direction are all working in the same way too (just curious because that'd be the kind of thing I'd like to watch).

The shots look beautiful! However, based on these screenshots, I might caution you to work on your shot composition. Some of these screen grabs almost look like green screen shots because they’re so precisely similar despite being in entirely different locations. Change it up, adjust the angle, move in closer or further away, maintain focus while making the moment stand out with change. No offense, just an opinion, overall very well done!

Thanks for the feedback Les!

It was shot in only 18 days and a difficult film to do in such a short time. Difficult locations and circumstances but the director and actors brought their A-game and I believe it will be a good little film....but nothing groundbreaking....

Kind regards

Justus

Hi Justus

Really looking forward to seeing a trailer (and shots in motion) - don't forget to link when it's available :)

BTW - which Dragon (and OLPF) are you using? Plus, out of interest, do you use a base ISO and work from there?

I've been experimenting with my Epic Dragon (an old beast ie DSMC1)/Lomo anas and that combo seems to have a nice organic feel at 1280/LLO (plus I can stop down the Lomo's a little).

Hey Andy

I’m still Using my Epic Dragon. I did do some switching between Standard and Skintone OLPF’s
On the standard I try stay around 640 and on skintone more like 320 and use filters to get to desired stop of around 3.5-ish...
