(7/27/10) - Hey guys,

Just wanted to share some quick screen grabs with everyone. (Last one is a little gross!! :biggrin5:) I DP'd a project this weekend called Incubator. It's a horror-short about a man who becomes a victim of organ theft.

I only lit with one 2-foot quad Kino and sometimes a 100 Pepper for a backlight kick. I was kinda going for a Rob Zombie-Halloween type of look. The short probably wont be done until maybe Thanksgiving, and I'll hopefully be able to share a little footage then.

Would love your constructive input! I believe these grabs are just RAW with a slight grade added in Photoshop? Not positive, the director just sent them over last night.

Yes, very low budget! Haha. Our makeup artist was incredible. The bottom screenshot you see there is a full prosthetic, not just the incision, but the whole torso. She did an amazing job. We have several XCU on the prosthetics and they look great in 4.5K! As for the shot of the incision in the mirror, our actor had to wear that little piece for the whole day. Not once did it peel off, even though the actor was running around the room, twisting his torso, sitting in a tub of ice water, etc. She only touched it up once. It was really incredible. I've never had such a positive experience with a makeup artist.

It looks like it was based on a chain email that was circulating a few years back. Creepy.

Hey guys. The short is now online!! Please don't share too much around the internet, I am just hoping to get some feedback on the cinematography from you guys. Please let me know your thoughts. This was my first DP job on RED and I'm never going to shoot anything else. Can't wait to put a deposit on an Epic. Thanks so much!
