Last weekend I had a shooting in Verona, Italy during heavy rain.
RED and IMS both preformed PERFECT.
Sanjin,
I wouldn't have expected it not too. Verona,I assume it was the Opera you were shooting,I'm envious.
Cameramen have been altering kit since the very start of photography,it's rare to find a combination that works straight out of the box, especially if you work in a highly specialised area like me. Most of what I do is extreme macro. One to one is a long shot for me,so obviously I'm not able to use standard PL glass. The IMS mount will be crucial in giving me flexibility and choice.I also can't wait to get some of my Leica R & M and Hasselblad glass on it.
I've never let any camera manufacturer dictate what I can and can't do,so long as they do their job properly and build a reliable instrument then there shouldn't be any problem. It would be nice to keep the warranty though. All the P&S kit I've seen is superb,so I can't imagine them designing something that would have problems.
