Can anyone identify this mount type? Is it PL?

PL has four ears. Is that on a 16mm lens? Could be CP-16 and if I remember right Aaton was three eared also.

It's an Angenieux 12-240mm f3.5. Not sure if its a 35mm or 16mm.

Speaking of 20x12 Angenieux zooms... A popular thing for a heart beat was to mount a 2x extender on them to enlarge the image enough to cover 35mm format. That gave one appx. a 25-500mm zoom albeit around T9. lol The zoom had to be in tip top shape for this to work as the 2x extender multiplied what ever optical errors were inherent in the zoom to start with. I think we did one for Kubrick around the time of A Clockwork Orange.

Looked at bunch of pictures of the CP mount and I bet that one on the lens is just that. It's odd that they don't state what it is in the ad. Mayby they aren't cine people and just don't know what they have.
Went back and looked at the other stuff they have for sale and it's all still camera related. So they probally just don't know.

Heya,

Looks like one of my CP-16 lenses.

ATF

CP mount. Very similar to the Aaton mount, but the locator hole cutout in one of the wings is the giveaway.

BTW Chuck, Kubrick used a 1.4x extender from Angenieux because that was all he needed to get the lens to cover the 1.66 framing in Academy 35 when shooting the opening zoom out shot in A Clockwork Orange. Didn't eat as much light and helped keep the image just a bit sharper, which was a tough job considering the glass we're talking about here!

Morning Mitch,

I vaguly remember it being an Angenieux extender (thought it was their 1.6x).
We (Century Precision Cine Optics) worked with Cinema Products on that and the Zeiss speed (50mm f0.7) conversion for the Mitchell rackover. Damn seems like it was in a different century (no pun intended) oh wait, it was! lol
