  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IBC presentation...

We will only be at the show on Friday and Saturday. We have commitments that we have made back in CA for Monday 1st thing. We are doing the best we can to fill in for Ted.

Hope to see you there. Jarred and I will spend some time at the Assimilate booth but most of the time walking the floor of the show with the prototypes. For sure we will be at the theater Saturday at 1pm for the presentation.

Just fyi for everyone - the ASSIMILATE booth is in Hall 7, stand K01. We've been in the same location for 4 years now and like it. : )

We have an enclosed area where there will be SCRATCH systems for private demonstrations, and a small open area right by the enclosed area. When Jim and Jarred are here, they will be in the open area.

The presentation that I am doing with Jim at 1PM on Saturday is in the Big Theatre.

Also, we are checking with the IBC to see what options are available for streaming, etc. I'll keep everyone posted.

Non-working proto? With the Esquire news we now know EpicX is alive, so that unit isnt there? Keeping something about that unit under wraps? :-) Gah! it's like Christmas and the gifts and wafting about

Either way, wish I could be there! Maybe next year...

The latest Esquire DSMC shoot was not shot on Epic-X. It was shot on the RED One with the Mysterium-X upgrade. Here's Jarred's quote, it was also referenced in the article somewhere...

This was shot with the Epic 5k Sensor in a RED ONE body...

It was a 2 camera shoot, Greg Directed and shot with one, and I shot the other. Lots of incredible footage.

For a still guy he sure understands Motion...

so sorry that i cant be there. a lot of great news came along the last weeks.... red is now getting to the top.... jim, only one question please:
do you know an eta of the 4.5k mode ? I have a big production coming in mid of october where it would be great to shoot on it....

wish you a good time in amsterdam and looking forward....

best
rainer

Will this be part of the IBC conventions, or will a standard exhibition badge let you in?

Will come if my exhibition badge lets me in!

Thanks.

Pete.

Hmmm.... I am shooting in Paris and I have Saturday off. Anyone know how long the train ride is?

PS - I was just hanging with Roman Polanski at his flat just off the Champs - Elyesse!

They made it sound like it was a Red One with a 5K Epic sensor, not the 4.5K M-X upgrade.

See you all there! I don't know if I'm more excited because of the epic-x proto or because of the new version of Scratch. Red Rocket accelaration in that already powerful software sure sounds like the stuff dreams are made of!
