Is it safe to assume most/all accessories that go with Epic-X will be shipping in numbers too by NAB?
EVFs, and perhaps most importantly, SSDs?
How about larger LCDs?
It would be very useful of knowing some time guestimates on that before cams are ready, regarding purchasing decisions.
The only holdup are some of the rear modules. They are going through a quick re-design. EVFs, SSDs, LCDs, etc. should not be a problem. Customers can certainly wait for their order until everything ships, or take what is available.
Packages will need to be paid in full even if some components aren't ready (will let you know which those are before you pay). You can always wait until everything is ready.

Jim,
I posted on this before, and Brent took me up on it... will Stage 3 people be able make a full payment, accept a partial EPIC delivery - *and* retain their R1 and not ship it back to RED for trade-in until such time as the delayed parts of the order are delivered? In case they need some capability that's on the missing module or whatever...
Thanks
Mike
The current plan is to begin shipping EPIC-X Stage 2 before NAB in April, ship all EPIC-X Stages complete before mid July... and all EPIC-X orders taken at NAB (from new customers) by end of summer. EPIC-Ms are currently being made and will continue to be made as people want them.
Any minor delays we have had getting production of EPIC-X started has been supply chain related. We are working through the issues and the team is very focused.

That's great news! So I guess I'll have to bring my credit card. Or all 3 of them. Plus the ones from my girlfriend, my dog, ok I'll stop now... Looking forward to meeting y'all!
RED had a limit to how much you put on a credit card when the REDones first shipped. My guess is that policy still is in place and that only 5k-10k could be placed on a card for new customers wanting an Epic. Existing customers may get more of a break.
