I have lost my "looks" window pane in REDCINE X as someone accidently deleted it

Im on a shoot and i desperately need to know how to "MASTER RESET" Redcine X so i get all my windows back including "LOOK"

Help!

nope doesnt work

Someone deleted the actual tab "LOOK"

If the tab itself was deleted:
Click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select 'Add New Tab'.
Click the gear icon again and select the new tab you created.
Right click within the new tab and select 'Look Presets', 'Looks Manager', etc to customize the tab.

Thanks Mike. You rock!

There surely must be a factory reset somewhere of all windows though

Glad you're back in business, Adam.

I don't know of a reset. Maybe someone from Red could chime in.

Aaargh.... having the same problem, but worse :)
All the tabs on the right side are gone, even the gear icon and I can't get it back. I even tried deleting preferences... any ideas?

OK, I found a fix for Mac, if you need to get the tabs back again:

- Close RedCineX

- Go to [User]/Library/Application Support/red/RedCineX/PanelLayoutPresets/

- Make a safety-backup copy of the "PanelLayoutPresets" folder and delete the one in the library

- Restart RedCineX

That should have solved it. If everything works fine, delete the backup folder on the desktop. If not, move it back and call for help :)

CAUTION!
Since I didn't care, I didn't look out for if anything else got reset along with the panels. So use at your own risk. But as long as you have the backup of the folder, you should be fine!

David, I'll try to recreate it as soon as i'm back on my mac. But I think you just have to remove all of the tabs and it disappears with the last one.

Ok here's the deal.

This may sound stupid but still the reason is only, that if you push the panel extension button (the vertical bar with the small triangle pointing to the left in the middle) the whole window extends to the right and makes the gear button disappear.

I didn't notice that the window expands, so all that I need to do, is push the "+" button of the "x - +" upper left corner of the window to get it to fit back onto the screen. So far, so good.

Now there's still a weird part about it: if you push the "+" as long as the panel is still extended, the gear button remains gone. It only comes back if you FIRST collapse the panel and THEN make it smaller through the "+" button.
