I'm gearing up to shoot a feature in Spring 2012 and intend shooting the majority of it on Scarlet X. I'll need to rent an EPIC at some point to knock out a few slow motion shots, but the intent is to shoot and finish at 4k for theatrical distribution.

Hi people, this poll is missing an important category " Broadcast/ television"

Apologies, just notice Gavin beat me to it!!

All of the above aka p2p (the pirate bay).

Primarily on the internet, I'd imagine, but it will probably see some use on our projects aimed at the big screen and television too.

We can't believe what we just heard ,it broke our hearts! one of our clients found out we are going to start using RED cameras and said if we use RED camera they no longer want our business because they think we are selling out =(

Internet and Blu Ray for sure. Hopefully big screen soon with some festivals, my main interest is learning the technology and becoming proficient with it.. while of course having the time of my life

How the hell are you selling out because you decided to shoot on one of the most advanced camera systems in the world? You will always come across clients like this because no matter what you shoot, there will be bias, misinformation, misunderstanding and just plane ignorance. My advice is shoot something that knocks their socks off, then tell them it was shot on RED, then sit back and watch their face turn the same colour ;) personally though if a client told me that....chances are I don't need that kind of client...don't take it personally Ruben and Sheri, that's just the business ;)

Good riddance, clients like that probably don't pay enough to break even anyway. Then again I'm a sell-out so of course I would think that. :D

heh heh I've seen my stuff projected at a few different festivals now. And even though I'm shooting 1080p they still keep projecting a widescreen DVD !!!

44% of Scarlet users want to get their masterpieces to the big screen? That would be something, ... really.

Thank you =)
