  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How was this done?

bullet-time pr0n?

:head_explode:

yeah, those making of clips are useless.

Thats incredible...all bullet effect combined with CG? I like the story, effectively told silent film. Thanks for sharing.

wow stunning, I wonder how many cameras were used per section if it was bullet time ?, the degrees of motion are so fluid !
Anyone know ?

The making of clips are just fill outs for fun - not truly substantial. That's actors running around.

AND I repeat this is all one camera with actors standing still. What part of the... I know the people who did it, is unclear?

Lol. Poor Casandra. ;)

Fredrik how much is motion controlled and how much is just on a dolly hoping to get one perfect take?

It's all planned into detail for weeks. Nothing is left by chance. The "actors" have to be able to stand in their positions and "help" is made for them, such as built in wire rigs inside the clothes. Sticks and other support for "uncomfortable" positions. Wires to hang in etc. Textile etc is starched in glue and then dried so it LITERALLY can stand for itself. Hair is sprayed until it'll break if you touch it. Possible objects are planned in with having them hanging in lines or standing on green screen boxes etc.

Then it's shot with motion control so they can shot in layers.

Things like explosions, smoke etc is CG and so is liquids in mid air and/or glass.

Now this is the last time I write this :head_explode:

Nice. Thanks for explaining it...again.

So basically it was just a combination of real special effects and lots of planning and hard work on the part of a whole lot of people, and then some post magic. I am actually relieved that it wasn't all just some magical post solution. Looked amazing.

Ha! Well I'm out as an actor. I can't even hold my fingers steady enough. No amount of wires would lock me down good enough.

I'm just curious how much of the actor wiggle is massaged out in post or if they're just that good. Looking at the behind the scenes movie you can definitely see that left to their own devices the actors still wiggle about a little bit.

No post is only post... Right?

Didn't you guys watch that making of Heroes, in the scene the japanese guy freezes time and rescues the girl from being hit by the car or something like it?

The same thing, standing still, match moving, 3D, masks where needed, done.

maybe they shot in the southern hemisphere

Or in space...Mr Branson please...

And me I always have to cough. Probably hadn't coughed for at least a year, but guaranteed in this situation I would.

Sounds like a form or Fluffing. This is what Bresson was after...pity the technology wasn't around for him - then he could truly call his actors models.
