I love this shot. Any idea how to get a prism spread of light like this? And does it need a hazer?

Not much luck with a DJ light machine.

There are probably many ways to do this. Off the top of my head:
-tape strips of gel to a piece of glass and shine a very focused light through the gels (a light that has a focusing lens would be ideal)
-take a digital photo of strips of different colored paper and then project that photo using a digital projector
-mount a bunch of dedo lights that have lenses on them next to each other on a board and put different colored gels on each light
All of these need to have haze in the room to see them

It doesn’t look like a true rainbow.

Notice that the actors hand is cutting throught the lower green layer of light, as well as the angle of convergence.

The blue light is a separate source behind the actor.

I would guess either a projector or laser source.

I used fog and a projector to do a similar effect before.
