  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How Many Of You Planning A Movie Theater Feature On The 8x Fixed Scarlet?

Where are you shooting where you wouldn't be able to switch lenses? Also regarding switching lenses regarding actors, how are you supposed to light a scene if taking five seconds to switch a lens messes up their performance?
Well I should say it differently. I have the ability to change lenses but it's inconvenient and would often miss action. I shoot skiing and surfing. Surfing in particular is pretty brutal for lens changes, Salt water and cameras don't mesh. Skiing is a little more doable but it happens pretty quick especially in a competition setting. Now when it comes to lifestyle, b-roll and build up shots thats where the lens interchangeability has me interested. I'd love to pick up a scarlet interchangeable body just for that purpose.

I admire anyone that shoots a feature, no matter what camera they use. It's a big endeavor to shoot that much footage and get it all edited, with a sound track, to a finished movie.

I made fun of Birdemic in an off topic thread, but it was just in light hearted fun. I actually do respect the director for getting his feature made. I wish I could make something that got this much buzz, and shown in a limited theatrical release.

I would love to do a feature one day, but don't know if I'll ever manage it. I think the Scarlet fixed would be a great camera for it.
