FCP Workflow 2, L&T Onlining Problem

Hi there!

We shot a documentary on RED and edited the whole stuff in FCP using Workflow #2 in the RED FCP Whitepaper (ProRes Proxies, finish with RED QT Media). All Proxies have been rendered using the Log&Transfer Tool in FCP. Now we wanted to online eveything. We did every step which is standing there (reconform, red using prores setting, mediamanage, l&t switched to native). Our problem is, that when we go on "Batch Capture" everything is getting recaptured in ProRes (??) in crazy resolutions.

Does somebody here know a solution? Please Help!

Hey,
Make sure that the preferences in the log and transfer window are set to RED ->native. If it's still set to Apple ProRes then that's what you'll be getting. Hope this helps.
Also - if you shot in 16X9, then the dimension should be different from that given in the whitepaper. The whitepaper explains the 2X1 workflow. For 16X9, set the preset to 2048X1152
