  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How Do I

See what frame rate the shot was filmed in? Red Weapon MX updated firmware

In camera or in post?

If you're in REDCINE-X Pro, right click the clip and select Metadata and search for "Recording Framerate".

That's one way to do it. There are others depending on the software and all that.

In camera or in Redcine? In Redcine, you will see the info in the metadata window.

I'm sorry guys I should've been more clear. I'm talking in post. Is REDCINE the only way to find it? I don't have it downloaded and I'd rather not unless it's the only way.

Thank you!!!

It depends what post program you are using. But most programs will let you see the metadata of the file in the "media" section. It would be in the same place you see all the other data like timecode or clip length.

I see what you're saying. Problem is, it tells me the 'project' frame rate, the one that is set in camera. I need to know what it was actually filmed in before it was turned to the project frame rate.

Since project frame rate and clip frame rate are both metadata, if you can see one, you should be able to somehow see the other. Are there any view options you can change? Like if you right click or something?

Or just download RCX lol

Just wanted to post what the best solution for this was for me, through the help of you guys.

Downloaded RCX only for Red Player. Find clip in finder, open it with Red Player, then go up and click the metadata button.
