Before anyone says to buy a better specs camera, I know.

Wondering if there is a possibility to have a "Hot Rod" module, which like a Red Rocket but for the camera, where the specs could increase.

"Meizler" for higher frame rates or lower compression.

For high speed you would need a new sensor, sensor design, underlying hardware, media, etc....

For much lower data rates, likely new media.

However, for the other part of your request, dig up some photographs of Jarred's, Matt's, or Bay's Ranger/Bayhem cameras. That is indeed an interesting option that does part of what Meizler offered.

As does the OMOD to a degree.

And not to mention that DSMC2 bodies with dual REDCODE RAW/Intermediate Codec recording do another bit of it.

Since Weapon 8K and Epic-W share the same sensor, at different processing specs, doesn't it come down to the hardware?

Again like a Rocket, which would work with any camera to push out a little more?

(FR, compression). I suppose that would be it.

Perfect. And real time downsizing for corner to corner use of the sensor at 120 fps. And while we're here, a High Speed Hot Rod that lets us do 4K at 1000 fps, perhaps in ProRes at least.
