Hm...

HUmmm..... Keeping Bread Fresh?

Part of a focusing system perhaps?

Yes, my thought too... something like a Kinect type of depth mapping?

In principal, if it's per pixel mapping it would mean that you could shoot something on the street and key out a character like on a green screen... please tell me that is it, it's something I've been waiting for :D

Like this, you mean?

Nice idea.

There are a few issues with SLAM, and precision, though.

So we wouldn't like to mess that up, would we?

And those small babies could really point wherever at any angle and still do their magic.

But I kinda like the idea...

This is my guess.

You are working on a: camera / 3D tracking system / External lens control Data system.
Possibly something that can work with not only red cameras but with most cameras.
Possibly something that work together with PFtrack.
Possibly EU funded.

Am I right :)

hm... You need to be visited...

PFtrack is your tracking tool of choice?
Over 3d equalizer and Syntheyes?

Remember when PF was opensource free magic...

Yeah, I think that the technology will develop to a higher and higher resolution with better cycles per second until the point that it's pixel mapped against the pixels of the 2D image and updates just as fast as 25 fps 2D. When that happens you would be able to key out a person without green screen or create 3D mapping onto the 2D image without complicated 3D conversion.

I think that this will be the the near future of VFX and 3D movies :)
