Hi, everybody! Friends, help please. I the first time deal with the RED cameras. I have bought RED Epic W. Also has already faced problems. 1. A problem is that when I remove at me on the display everything incredibly green color that to correct it I constantly change tint-21.000. I consider that it isn't correct. Further. What has to be a record profile? Redgamma and another? What has to be sharpness of the image and in what proportion it moves? I ask to help you with the correct control of my new epic w. Earlier I removed only on BM Ursa mini 4.6

Hi Aleksandr,

I would say the first thing to do if you haven't already is to run a Sensor Calibration, which may solve your green issues. It's okay to have a negative tint value if the lighting conditions require it, but it sounds like something more might be happening here.

Remember when shooting REDCODE RAW, since it's a compressed RAW format, you can change the Color Space and Gamma Curve in post without any penalty. I'd recommend either DRAGONcolor/REDgamma4 to start if these are very new to you, but I would also look into using REDWideGamutRGB/Log3G10 with a 3D Transform LUT applied, which is something that is new in the RED world.

In terms of "sharpness" the best way to get the most detail out of a RED camera is to shoot at the higher resolution and if possible the lowest REDCODE RAW Compression Ratio possible.

Hi Phil! Thanks a lot for the answer. How I can make calibration of a sensor of the camera? I already thought of it and looked for this function, but haven't found in the menu

Aleksandr,

You are probably best served by reading the camera manual from the start to the end. I know it can be boring but I do it with every new camera. Unsure of your knowledge level but if the manual is too difficult or there is a language barrier then maybe find a local person who is Red experienced and spend a few hours with them?
