Guys I am looking for that old graphic that had a picture of ALL the brains on one sheet (And the specs, which may be out-dated by now)

If anyone has that can they upload it here?

Thanks

Jay

Just fyi - this is possibly my favorite Thread Name of all time...

BrainsBrainsBrainsBrains...

(sorry - watched too many zombie flicks as a kid... warped me...)

You crack me up Lucas. I didn't think of that when I posted it, but now I cannot think of anything else!

Jay

PS I need to speak with you about something.. I'll PM you

That't IT!!! Do you have a higher rez version? Or is that how it came?
THANKS
Jay

This one is slightly larger, but that might be the crop. Put a TAG at the top so not to risk nobody comes here + google image robot crawlers and think this is something recent.
You can of course easy crop off the top for you use.

Click-able thumbnail;

NB; I'm using a new image host, hope it doesn't display some nasty ads.

There is this one too, just in case.

MMMmmmmm..... Braaaaaaiins...

Not sure what you're up to, Jay. But you may want to consider the "all things subject to change" mantra around here. I think RED may have pulled those images down some time ago for a reason. The brains pictured there don't seem to represent what the Scarlet and EPIC have evolved into at this point and there's no guaranty that all listed models will indeed come to pass or at least not as shown with those specs. Just sayin...

Jeff is right... those old documents have very little value anymore, specially for someone like you who likes to teach :)

Speaking of change...

I wondered if the Internet Archive Wayback Machine could help provide the images Jay requested. Turns out the content there isn't recent enough.

However, I did find this interesting picture from October of 2003. Not the brains Jay was looking for but it made me chuckle.

I had no idea you guys had been at it so long. I knew I was late to this party, but now I'm realizing just how late. Good thing the party isn't dying down any time soon.

BTW, this logo would look smashing on some "vintage" T-shirts.

I hear ya Jeff, (And Jarred).. And yes I am up to something. However I am not taking these documents at face value.. More I am just hunting for different representations of Scaret fixed and removeable, and the Epic X/s35 and FF35... While the others are interesting, I don't really plan to deal with them as they have no real plans I can hang my hat on.

Under no cirsumstances am I planning to say "look! See!? Look at all the different brains coming soon!" No... Only the 2 scarlets, and the Epic s35 (And perhaps a mention of the FF35) will come from me..

I plan to be very careful, but right now, I am on the hunt for images.. Lots of 'em.. I'll weed them out after that.

Jay

I'm not sure, but I suspect this may have been another company, and then the domain was purchased by Jim

I'm spit-balling here...

Back in 2000 red.com was for Reynolds Engineering & Design (now red3d.com). Quoting from their old page:

Reynolds Engineering & Design was founded in 1992 to provide software consulting services in the fields of computer graphics and animation, for applications in film, television and LBE (location based entertainment). The work ranges from plug-ins for standard production software, to special purpose stand-alone applications. Projects have included image processing (motion blur, fish eye perspective), motion capture (transforming tracker positions to joint angles, motion signal processing, previewing utilities), GUI design, and web authoring. We also have expertise in animation production, behavioral animation, design of autonomous characters, and evolutionary computation.

However, there is something very familiar about the logo I attached. It just feels like something our friends at RED would have done. The font seems a little Japanese. Remember the kanji that shows up as a watermark in some of the product announcements? And the CAPS. And the phrase... "the color of life". Back before I joined reduser.net, when I did searches on the forum it would interrogate me with a simple captcha. One of them was... the color of life. And you had to type "red".

Just a guess, but I think that logo from 2003 is all RED!
