Help, I'm buying RED

That'll probably be doable in about 4 months. Until Epics start shipping in force the R1's will hold their value... around 22.5k ish.

I would honestly be surprised if you could find even a heavily used M-sensor Red One for this price.

Is this for a specific project? You may look in to renting...

Late 2008/early 2009 you would probably have managed that.

When the Epic-S (Former 35mm Scarlet), thst bid will probably be more acceptable again, but with some luck, you might find someone sellinga very basic executed M package at that price...

Even if you could find a body for $15k, you're forgetting that you'll HAVE to spend at least another $5-10k in accessories, lenses, tripod, etc.
