Heat Dissipation: Carbon Fiber Dragon vs Standard AL Dragon

Wondering if the standard body, AL I believe will dissipation heat better than the Carbon Fiber Dragon. Any official word by RED on this?

Thanks for your comments, thoughts and scientific explanations if possible.

Anyone?

I've used both. I know what you're on to and if it was a simple system I'd agree with the theory.

In reality I don't think there's any measurable difference. Red's not just cooking the metal here. There's fans involved and different components made of different things. Also, space between components comes into play.

The Carbon Dragon for instance has Magnesium Alloy inside. The outside is the only bit with Carbon Fiber.

There's some lovely white papers online comparing Magnesium and Aluminum heatsinks online, however, that's not exactly what's going on in a Red camera.
