EDIT: Sorry fellas' I have to take down some images including Tracking images (may cause legal trouble)

O'man this is my story for the day. I recovered a first stolen EPIC-X.
My iPhone and App "Find My iPhone" saved me today.
RED team please do something. Forget DRAGON I would rather pay $9,500 for tracking device installed in my EPIC instead upgrade.

(All informations are confidential and must be cared - sorry I can't write much detail instead following)

This is What happens when you leave an iPhone in a car.

Today (Saturday) in NYC was a very sunny day after long, so I decided to go out and shoot (outdoor). I made super small handheld rig and pulled my car (Lamborghini). Drove around few hour and shot bunch-a-stuff for fun. Now I am on the way to my Mom's house in NJ. Quarter mile away from my Mom's house around 4:45pm I pulled my car onside like 8 feet away from the store to pick up some drinks she requested. When I was stepping out from my car I seen this guy (below in picture) coming toward to my car. It was normal to me that whenever I stop people come close to see my ride (so I did not pay much attention to him). I left my iPhone in a car and Epic-x was hide by the passenger side (on the floor). I don't know if this was my mistake or somehow I missed to hit my remote to lock my car (I will bring it to the dealer on monday they must answer me on this). I came back from the store within 40 second and drove home. Once I got home I noticed my phone wasn't in the car then the camera … OOOOOO'.

Without thinking anything I ran inside the house grabbed a computer and hit "find my phone". On map I noticed someone is moving with my iPhone. I took my Mom's iPhone, she also gave me her iPad mini, called my brothers from the gym (more iPhones) and one of my brother's friend (another iPhone). Now I have 4 devices with my Apple ID LOGGED IN. Now it was time to call the cops. Few miles away with the help of PD (more then 7 to 10 flashing Cars) and using 4 devices, finally we tracked down this stupid guy by 5:30pm (within 40 min - right before he was entering in his house). Cops was very surprised the way we tracked him. They found much more stolen stuff from his house. Thanks god its ooooooooover. This is quite insane how I recovered my stolen properties.

This little app save my day today.

Yes that's him,

I'm thinking I might just pay the extra $20/month on my phone bill to activate my old iPhone 4 and hide it in my Pelican 1510 so that if it gets stolen, I can at least track the case (and hopefully the Scarlet will be close nearby!)

That's unbelievable and great that it ended the way it did! Wow. Speechless.

My girlfriend left her iPhone in the mall, and the cops were able to follow the Find my iPhone tracking back to the house, turns out one of the mall employees took it! Cops were able to recover the phone fairly easily. Find my iPhone really works!!!!!

Maaan' I am just happy that my family advised to have PD involved, Trust me I knocked minimum 1 or 2 guys in the ring every week. If I would've catch him without PD......... Instead of him, I will be going to station....
this is serious..... this kinda shit isn't a joke as these piece of shit guys thinks...

Congrats Kwan ...cant imagine that feeling when you realise the camera was gone.

To me, it makes more sense to lock your car and not drive a Lamborghini to a shoot, than to ask Red to put a GPS in the camera.
But that's just me.

A word to the wise even though it's a great story, I would be careful about posting all this info.
In the US, innocent until proven guilty. Technically his lawyer can sue you for defamation.
This is why "alleged suspect" must be used until proven guilty in the US.
The man is an opportunist. Right now you are creating an opportunity, with that image of him.

Ah yes, forums count as media today.

PS: And you definitely cannot publish his address with those iphone screengrabs.

Mike, I was so pissed.
Around 5:45pm when cops ask me my SS# for documentation I remembered only last 6 #s (Until 7pm when my brother remind me first 3 digits).

Mike, Thanks for brilliant Idea. I will call Vinny (from switronx) to ask him to find the way to insert a iPhone inside the JET Pack.
